I originally used Google Sites because it was easy, free, and I've been using G-Suite since I was 7. I also used Google Domains for the link until it was acquired by Squarespace. They do honor the legacy pricing so it's very cheap to keep the URL and Google Sites is enough for my needs at the moment.
Even if their stock photos. I'll play it safe and give credit where it's due.
I have only used AI for one part of this site and that is the custom embed for copyable code sections. Though I could've learned to do this myself I am familiar enough with HTML to know it would take me quite a bit to actually get it working. I may revisit this in the future and swap it with my own but that will be when I am learning HTML. Which I may be doing in school. I needed a solution, and it provided it quickly so I could focus on the task I want to be learning when I first made it.
